Sha Shamsi


Professional Makeup Artist 

A former Singapore Airlines flight stewardess, Sha has been in the fashion industry since 1990 starting out as a model in a modeling agency called Mannequin Model Agency. During this time, she was featured in coveted magazines such as Her World, Female and GO.  A graduate of Cosmoprof Makeup School, her career as a professional makeup artist kick-started when she was deployed as the makeup artist for Fiddler On the Roof, which was staged in Victoria Concert Hall.

In 1999, she became the Head of Makeup under Roger Jenkins’ drama company, Drama Plus Arts, where her job encompassed dealing with costumes, makeup, hairstyling and visiting schools across Singapore teaching Theatre Makeup. Sha’s passion for makeup led her toward venturing into bridal makeup, which saw her later becoming one of the Directors of Inai Bridal Gallery Pte Ltd between 2005 and 2008. Concurrently, she also provided makeup services for various magazines in Singapore such as Style, Manja, Sutra, Ish, Catalogue and 8 Days etc.

Sha is now a freelance professional make-up artist conducting makeup and hair services workshops for schools and organisations. She also runs her own online makeup products franchise and distributes some of her own products and makeup tools to several stores in Singapore.
